HOW TO APPLY A SELF TAN MOUSSE

A self tanning mousse is one of the easiest tanning formulas to use. Ideal for the uninitiated tanner, the aerating applicator of a mousse produces a lightweight consistency that quickly covers the skin. This easy absorption means little effort is needed to ensure even coverage and also helps to create exceptionally long-lasting results.

Follow these simple steps to experience the benefits of a faux foam glow the next time you tan :)

1. Shake the bottle well before using and dispense just 1 or 2 pumps onto a tanning mitt or gloves (the velvety foam expands so you need less product than a lotion formula).

2. Use swift, sweeping motions to apply the mousse over the desired area; we recommend starting at the feet and working up the body to avoid excess rubbing. Take your time blending in and use circular motions so that every inch of your skin is covered thoroughly and evenly.

3. Take care over dry areas like hands, knees, feet and elbows - the excess product on your tanning mitt or gloves will be enough to blend the tan in here. A great tip for the hands is to make a fist then use the mitt to gently press the mousse into the skin. This avoids those tell-tale lines over the knuckles and finger joints!

4. Leave your tan to develop for a minimum of 6 to 8 hours before showering.  Gently pat the skin dry before applying a hydrating moisturiser, and do this daily to help maintain and prolong your tan.
